GET TO KNOW ME
Hi, I'm Maddison Holland!
I get excited thinking about the power of design in the real world. I have been aware of commercial design work in my life since a young age - whether it was noticing when a package design updated at the store or singing a commercial jingle (I still know the Dallas Dalworth Clean phone number!). Now that I have 7 years of shopper marketing design work under my belt, I can say I'm one of those people - behind the scenes making those small detailed decisions that many people don't even realize affects their behavior.

Some of my personality traits are well-suited for design work: I'm organized, detail-oriented, and teachable. My greatest pursuit is to improve at whatever I set my mind to. One example of this is my journey with calligraphy: I have always loved lettering of all kinds, but one day in 2019, I decided traditional Copperplate script was the most beautiful thing I had to try. After buying a book and watching videos on Instagram, I practiced and practiced. I fell in love with the script - elegant yet structured. I also quickly fell in love with the process - once I began to see progress, I was hooked. I took classes online and continue to develop my script as well as expand my skillset to new ones. I consider calligraphy to be a life-long pursuit which led me to start my own calligraphy business, Maddison Shae Design.

Outside of work, my hobbies include calligraphy, memory-keeping, golfing, fly fishing and trying to keep up with my 11 month old boy! I have come to call Northwest Arkansas home with my husband, out little boy and our dog, Skye .
